The only issue it has is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's avoided. A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that are required like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills. The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise. 3. The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished. The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution.
